Age - is it a problem?

Welcome to the beginning of a brand new month, it always brings with it new hope and new opportunities. With each passing month there is another 30 days or so that have gone forever and have left their mark on us, it’s called ageing. For those of you that know me well, you will recall that at the end of 2024 I hit 60. GULP, sit down and take life slowly. Heck! … no chance!. I feel younger, fitter and ready to take on the world, not sit down and prepare for the calling.  Who recalls the days when 60 was the retirement age? Judgemental or what?! But let’s look at this. Today’s society has its own judgements and they are actually bordering, if not stepping over the line of discrimination.  Most of us can’t retire at 60 and collect our state pension anymore, yet we don’t get the same bre...

7 Steps to Starting Afresh Embracing New Beginnings with Confidence and Purpose We can always make a fresh start, the only thing that holds us back are our doubts and insecurities. Whether it’s embarking on a new career path, relocating to a new town, healing from a past relationship, or simply redefining oneself; the idea of starting anew carries both promise and apprehension. That way you will stay focussed on what you need to do to implement this plan. By all means, for now, read the whole blog, but then on a daily basis, revisi...

In this month’s blog I’d really like to share with you some tips and tricks that will be helpful for you if you have a desire to travel far and wide. This is a topic, as many of you who know me, is close to my heart. Travel to exotic places has always been important for me and my family. The ability to jet off to foreign destinations that bring a richness and fulfilment that lasts with me for a lifetime. So, if you fall into this bracket, and you are looking for ways to make that happen… let’s explore some possible avenues. The key to unlocking expensive foreign travel could be a lack of money; trying to justify the spend when there are so many other things that the money could go towards. It could be a lack of time? It could just be that you don’t really believe you’re worth it, and those trips of a ...

I'm usually very good at skin care and protecting myself from searing heat, but the other weekend it was a British Summer’s day. We were away in ‘Eric’, our faithful campervan and we had booked a campsite to overlook the sea and capture an amazing sunset. I captured a bit more than a sunset; I got a nose that Rudolph would have been proud of lol! It led me to think how easy it is to forget about self-care so I thought I'd recap myself and share it with you. In today's fast-paced world, self-care is not a luxury but a necessity. It's the foundation for a balanced, fulfilling life. Let's dive deep into creating a self-care routine that feels real, authentic, and meets our own needs. Understanding Self-Care: The Heart of Balance Before we embark on this journey, it's essential to understand what self-care truly means. Se...
