We chase “success” like it’s a missing piece of ourselves - something just out of reach, always promising fulfilment but never quite delivering. We’re surrounded by the big, shiny moments: the standing ovations, the press features, the Insta-worthy wins. But what if the real magic - the real transformation - isn’t in the applause, but in the quiet courage of almost? Think about those times you’ve sat in stillness, mulling things over. Most of life doesn’t look like a victory lap. It looks like effort. It looks like the nearly-made-it moment, the dream that came close, the relationship that almost worked, the plan that nearly landed. And in our perfection-hungry world, “almost” gets a bad rap — seen as failure, not quite good enough. But what if “almost” is where we really grow? “Almost” is where we learn grit. It’s where we sharpen our insight. It’s where empathy is born -  not in perfection, but in the space where things didn’t go as planned and we kept going anyway. That’s whe...

Navigating the Negativity Newsfeed

Keep Your Chin Up, Buttercup: Navigating the Negativity Newsfeed Alright, let's have a proper chat, shall we? In today's world, sometimes it feels like you can't open your phone or switch on the telly without being bombarded by a fresh wave of doom and gloom. The British weather : unpredictable, infuriating, and the glue that holds our small talk together. No matter the season, we’re never happy - and frankly, we wouldn’t know what to do if we were! Sunshine? Time to Complain The moment temperatures rise above 20°C, Britain goes into meltdown. People rush to the nearest beer garden (me too) like it's the last day on Earth. Meanwhile, a national crisis unfolds: * “It’s too hot! We’re not built for this!” * “I can’t sleep at night - it’s like a furnace in my bedroom.” * “Is this the end? Should we start rationing water?” Two days later, it rains, and we breathe a collective sigh of relief - until we start moaning about the rain. Rain: The Default Setting It doesn't matter if it’s drizzle, torrential downpour, or “i...
